Timeout from reality, again~
Am doing my writing for mass media assignment.. damn bored.. gonna have a photoshoot today for photography assignment. Gonna shoot En Ai! =) one of the hot girls in college, so am doing my homework as always before a photoshoot, and i thought of asianposes.com…
yes. i know, the site doesn’t help much but.. i stumbled upon…

GIRL'S GENERATION

THey’re FREAGIN’ HOT! all of a sudden, orang putey ain’t that cun anymore. lol. not even Megan Fox~
one of their music videos, omg damn cun sial.
must watch must watch! especially for those of you who loves dancin, these girls can dance! very very very well.
*drool
These girl’s, some of them are American educated, they can speak english very well, which is very privilege them to have that.

I’ve discovered that not many people like these sorts of music. K-POP. I find it awesome. At least not much of sexual innuendo in every lines. Yes indeed got lotsa fairytale kinda love story, but at least, its ‘cleaner’ or less obscene or comfortable to listen to. They have the catchy tunes as well. So, Girl’s Generation/SNSD… sigh… *drool*

But since i just finish my film appreciation class (i still owe the lecturer-Choon Ean my movie journals), let’s talk a bit about the technicality in the production of the MV for the song titled “Gee”,which i love… damn cun sial..
. Styles & Crafts
The first 20 seconds of the video, the director uses jump cuts as the guy carries the ‘mannequin’ to the display window. Then, using at least a 1-2 second cuts, the director lessens the maximum time (cuts the shots shorter) to compliment with the ‘energy’ of the music. The director also uses a lot of dolly & sweeps in this MV. Throughout the whole video, the use of dolly and sweeps actually makes the beat of the music and the video creates a synergy (don’t even include their dance yet…drool). And also, he uses mid shots- waist to head shots to separate the solo and group singing. Mid shot of individual singing then dolly to the left/right/wherever of group doing something. there are 3 scenes in this video. 1. the store 2. the white space, and 3. the store dance floor. not breaking down the scenes where its in the store, you got the changing room.. and so on.. *lazy wanna talk more on this suddenly*
But honestly i love the music video. compare to GLAY, a japanese band doing live performance, its equally awesome. They did one concert live in Osaka and the live recording was awesome! i was amazed by the live cam directions and all. The director is one heck of a person. The editing looks very simple but it really gives the video the feel of the concert.
One of the live recordings of GLAY.
Anyway, the Girl’s Generation makes me want to go Korea… meet up with one of them, get to know, then whatever. <dream on boy…
k. time to get back to work. =) sighhhhhh…~
*sit hajok… sit…
